Senior Data Analyst

Summary

You will be responsible for improving operational efficiency, designing and analyzing experiments, and taking ownership of the entire analytics process. Requirements

• 5+ years experience as a product analyst, data analyst, data scientist or similar role
• Experience working in large operational settings ( support/call centers, fleet management, supply chain operations, retail operations etc)
• Experience working with analytics platforms such as Tableau, Looker, Periscope etc
• Fluency in English
• Strong SQL skills (experience with dbt is a plus)
• Strong demonstrable experience in discovery, hypothesis testing and inference over fuzzy problems and large data sets
• A baseline understanding of designing, running and evaluating A/B tests
• Strong data visualization and communication skills. You’ll be working closely with operations leads so being able to communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders is a key skill we are looking for

Responsibilities

• Be embedded in a product team where you will work closely with a product manager, engineers and operations leads
• Help find, test and implement process improvements to make our operations more efficient
• Derive insights from user, merchant and support center data, visualize and communicate these in ways that improve user and business outcomes
• Design, develop, implement and analyze experiments related to product features and operational processes
• Take full ownership of the analytics process - from project scoping and design through communicating findings to stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• French is a plus
• You have worked on a cross-functional product team
• You are able to work fairly independently. This role is a senior role in one of the fastest-growing parts of Wave. An expectation is that you’ll be able to lead and run with a problem (with the support of the broader team)
• You can communicate clearly with your colleagues in different roles (PM, engineers, operational leads, senior management)
• You have run a bunch of experiments and know what to do when things do not go as planned
• You excel at choosing the right complexity of analysis for any given business problem, from simple SQL queries to complex experimentation
