Summary
Join Storyblok, a growing company, as a Senior Data Scientist to lead innovative projects transforming complex data into actionable insights. You will leverage advanced machine learning and statistical analysis, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify growth opportunities and develop data-driven strategies. Responsibilities encompass the entire data science lifecycle, from data preprocessing to model deployment. Mentoring junior team members and Data Champions is also a key aspect of this role. Requirements
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 5+ years of experience in data science or a similar role with a strong portfolio of successful projects
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with SQL for data manipulation
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a keen attention to detail
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Sigma Computing, or similar to communicate insights effectively
- Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms and experience applying them to real-world problems
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams and proactively engage with business stakeholders with minimal direction
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of advanced statistical and machine learning models to extract insights and drive business decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business challenges and develop data-driven solutions
- Mentor and guide junior team members and Data Champions from other divisions, fostering a data-driven culture and enabling teams to leverage analytics effectively
- Design and conduct A/B testing and other experimental methodologies to evaluate the impact of new features and business strategies
- Communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders through clear and compelling presentations, reports, dashboards, and visualizations
- Manage end-to-end data science projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals
- Stay current with industry trends, advancements in machine learning, and emerging technologies to enhance methodologies and tools used within the organization
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a SaaS environment
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Hands-on experience with data transformation tools such as DBT
