Summary
Join Conductor, a leading Website Optimization & Intelligence platform, as a Senior DevOps Engineer to manage and maintain physical and virtual servers, storage systems, and networking in data center environments. You will configure, deploy, and monitor applications and services on Linux/Unix based systems in Datacenters and Cloud environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions. Optimize and scale infrastructure for large distributed databases, champion infrastructure best practices, and ensure patching, maintenance, backups, high availability, and disaster recovery at scale. Educate peers and development teams on best practices for developing and sustaining very large data sets in ElasticSearch, build and implement best-in-class observability for large distributed systems, and utilize AWS Services and tools to design, deploy, and manage cloud-based solutions. Optimize AWS resources and Physical Infrastructure for cost efficiency, scalability, and performance, staying up to date with emerging Cloud and Physical Infrastructure technologies to drive best practices and continuous improvement. Partner with the Information Security team on ensuring secure infrastructure, security issues, and incidents.
Requirements
- Completed studies in Computer Science, related field or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years professional experience working in DevOps, SRE or SysAdmin in Physical Infrastructure and Cloud Environments
- 5+ years experience with supporting, scaling and optimizing ElasticSearch
- Expertise with managing, optimizing and implementing physical infrastructure
- Experience supporting Kubernetes, ArgoCD, CircleCI, GitHub, Grafana, Cloudflare and similar tools
- Experience with Infrastructure as code and configuration management tools like Terraform, Ansible, Rundeck
- Professional verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly articulate your work to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain physical and virtual servers, storage systems and networking in data center environments
- Configure, deploy, monitor applications and services on Linux/Unix based systems in Datacenters and Cloud environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions
- Optimize and scale Infrastructure for large distributed databases ingesting multiple terabytes of data per day
- Champion infrastructure best practices, improvements, architecture and modernization
- Ensure patching, maintenance, backups, high availability and disaster recovery at scale
- Educate peers and development teams on best practices for developing and sustaining very large data sets in ElasticSearch
- Build and Implement best-in-class observability for large distributed systems in both Physical Datacenters and in AWS
- Utilize AWS Services and tools to design, deploy and manage cloud-based solutions
- Optimize AWS resources and Physical Infrastructure for cost efficiency, scalability and performance
- Stay up to date with emerging Cloud and Physical Infrastructure technologies to drive best practices and continuous improvement
- Partner with the Information Security team on ensuring secure infrastructure, security issues and incidents
