Requirements

• Kubernetes Mastery: Cluster Architecture & Operations – Design and maintain multi-node clusters with a focus on performance, scalability, and fault tolerance
• Service Mesh & Network Policies – Proficient in service mesh technologies to manage observability, security, and traffic routing between services
• Auto-scaling & Workload Optimization – Implement horizontal and vertical auto-scaling; optimize resource requests and limits for cost-efficiency and stability
• Disaster Recovery & Upgrades – Plan and execute rolling upgrades for clusters and workloads with zero downtime; maintain robust disaster recovery playbooks
• Cloud-Native Fluency – Comfortable working with AWS (preferred) or another major cloud provider
• Migration Strategist – Assess application readiness and develop migration strategies that minimize disruption during transitions
• Automation Enthusiast – Maintain an automation-first mindset to eliminate repetitive tasks
• Observability & Reliability – Use observability tools (e.g., DataDog) to ensure high uptime and rapid issue resolution
• Problem-Solving – Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Team Collaboration – A collaborative, team-oriented approach with a proactive, solution-driven mindset
• Communication Skills – Effectively communicate with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and varying technical expertise across LastPass
• Language Proficiency – Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Kubernetes clusters across all environments
• Drive standardization and automation of build and deployment processes
• Monitor system health and infrastructure performance
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
• Collaborate with product development teams to streamline application delivery and promote DevOps best practices
• Lead or support the migration of non-cloud-native applications to new infrastructure, including readiness assessments and implementation of best practices for scalability and maintainability
• Strengthen the security and compliance posture of the infrastructure
• Troubleshoot complex issues across the stack (e.g., networking, deployments, storage)
• Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to incident response and root cause analysis

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multiple Infrastructure as Code (IaC) languages, such as CDK with TypeScript and CloudFormation
• Familiarity with GitOps practices; experience with ArgoCD
• Multi-cloud experience (AWS preferred; Azure is a plus)
