Summary

MRGN, Inc. is seeking a Senior Devops Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Devops Engineer, you will develop and implement infrastructure and automation strategies, collaborate with teams, and ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of systems. The position requires strong experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred), IAC tools, HashiCorp tools, managing datastores, provisioning bare metal machines, scripting languages, containerization technologies, networking concepts, excellent problem-solving skills, and communication skills.

Requirements

• Strong experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
• In-depth knowledge of infrastructure as code (IAC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Proficient in using HashiCorp tools such as Vault for secrets management and Envoy for service networking
• Skilled in managing datastores including BigQuery and SQL databases
• Experienced in provisioning bare metal machines and optimizing kernel configurations for peak performance
• Skilled in leveraging analytics and monitoring tools like Grafana, and proficient in using alerting systems such as PagerDuty
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain our cloud infrastructure, along with a cluster of high-performance custom bare metal nodes
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment of applications, focusing on both cloud-based and bare metal environments
• Manage and monitor our production and development environments to ensure high availability and performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues promptly, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system health
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and deployment processes
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Machine Learning Operations (ML Ops) are preferred for this position
