Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional experience with a focus on roles across strategy, claims, and product management and 6+ years of people leadership
  • 5+ years experience and deep understanding of the P&C insurance claims lifecycle, processes, and technologies
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and launching innovative product solutions
  • Highly motivated, resourceful, and inquisitive with a proven track record of making quick decisions and delivering results in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills with superior attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus at all levels
  • Excellent stakeholder management and project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire high-performing product teams

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Claims Leadership to define the overarching claims strategy and translate that strategy into a comprehensive vision for Openly's claims product portfolio
  • Provide strategic leadership and mentorship to the claims product management team, setting a long-term vision that aligns with Openlyโ€™s broader goals
  • Translate the product vision into actionable initiatives, driving alignment and measurable impact across multiple functions
  • Lead company-wide initiatives and product strategies within the claims space
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of Openly's claims product suite, from ideation and market research to development, launch, and ongoing optimization
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in claims product innovation and design, modeling best practices for product leadership across the company
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships across Claims Operations, Engineering, Legal/Compliance, and other departments to drive collaboration and unified execution
  • Influence through clear communication, storytelling, and data, ensuring executive-level alignment on priorities and outcomes
  • Drive innovation within the claims product space, exploring new technologies, data-driven insights, and process improvements to create differentiated and market-leading solutions
  • Guide strategic build vs. buy/partner decisions to create a best-in-class, differentiated claims process and experience for all stakeholders (customers, agents, employees, etc.)
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate claims product performance, identify opportunities, and inform executive decisions
  • Guide the team to use data to frame challenges, assess trade-offs, and prioritize high-impact solutions
  • Inspire and mentor a team of product managers, empowering them to grow through feedback, coaching, and development opportunities
  • Foster a high-performance, inclusive culture that promotes accountability, psychological safety, and continuous learning
