Senior Director, Enterprise IT

A Top-Secret clearance (or ability to obtain one) and 10+ years of relevant experience are required. Requirements

• An active Top-Secret clearance (or higher) OR the ability to obtain
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise IT, network operations, or related roles
• Strong client engagement and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and projects
• Expertise in large-scale enterprise networks and network operations
• Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS)
• Strong proficiency in Windows and Linux systems, including deployment, configuration, and maintenance
• Experience with architecture, design, implementation, and operationalization of IT systems
• In-depth knowledge of the OSI model and its application to solution design
• Proven experience in client-facing roles with excellent communication and presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to develop and support technical proposals, including solution design and costing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Occasional travel to the D.C. metro area/Reston, VA

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, implementation, and operations solutions for large enterprise IT networks
• Design and operate solutions covering all OSI model layers, including physical, network, transport, and application layers
• Implement automation to maintain and optimize enterprise network operations, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability
• Provide expert-level support for Windows and Linux systems in enterprise environments
• Oversee deployment and troubleshooting of common networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS)
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored technical solutions
• Contribute to the development of technical proposals, including solution design, feasibility analysis, and cost estimation
• Design and operate edge networks, ensuring seamless connectivity and security at the network perimeter
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational and client objectives
• Provide mentorship and knowledge transfer to junior team members
