Summary
Join Ultragenyx and become a hero for rare disease patients! This Senior Director, Global HEOR position leads the development and execution of HEOR strategies for pipeline and commercialized programs globally. You will generate HEOR data to support clinical development and reimbursement filings, collaborating cross-functionally with various teams. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and technical expertise in HEOR principles. Requirements
- BA/BS in Life Sciences, Public Health, Epidemiology, or Health Economics and MA/MS in a related field; advanced degree preferred
- 12+ years of relevant experience in the biopharmaceutical industry with health economics and outcomes research; clinical background preferred
- Experience in health outcomes research activities, including study design, data management, and analysis of large data assets
- Effective written and verbal communication of HEOR strategy and findings
- Self-motivation, ability to work independently, develop credibility with colleagues, and influence decisions
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team and across the matrix
- Strong technical expertise in HEOR principles and knowledge of analytical applications
- Experience in strategic planning and project management, with proficiency in working cross-cultural/global teams
Responsibilities
- Serve as an HEOR subject matter expert, providing consultation to other departments
- Develop HEOR strategy and provide leadership among cross-functional project teams
- Generate HEOR data to support clinical development and reimbursement, including study design, implementation, and analysis
- Collaborate cross-functionally to facilitate alignment around key HEOR endpoints, outcomes, and deliverables
- Identify evidence gaps and lead the development of new evidence strategies to increase understanding of target patient populations
- Review and provide health economics and outcomes research input into clinical development program planning and regulatory documents
- Provide leadership across project teams, internally and externally, and lead cross-functional teams for external collaborative research partnerships
- Represent Ultragenyx as a Global HEOR subject matter expert at external professional and scientific meetings
