Join Hitachi Solutions as a Senior Director, Solution Architecture and lead a team of Solution Architects in delivering innovative, automated solutions within the Microsoft cloud environment. Requirements
- Mastery of Azure solutions with previous experience in complex Cloud architecture design
- 10+ years of experience delivering complex enterprise solutions leveraging Azure or similar, and working with cross-functional teams in a heavily matrixed organization
- 5+ years of experience performing and leading pre-sales activities including deal cost estimation and resource planning
- Proven experience in managing and mentoring a team of technical professionals
- Ability to express complex technical and business concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work independently and support sales pursuits with a geographically dispersed team
- Strong problem-solving attitude and self-motivation
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Solution Architects, ensuring their professional development and performance
- Work with Microsoft and other partner software and services organizations to ensure Hitachi Solutions is at the forefront of technology innovation
- Develop and define solution offerings and reference architectures with Sales, Marketing, and Delivery teams
- Understand customer requirements and translate them into innovative cloud solutions leveraging Hitachi Solutionsβ core capabilities
- Act as a project sponsor working with customer product owners and executives to represent Hitachi leadership in the engagement
- Contribute to crafting sales deals and develop conceptual solution design documentation during the sales process
- Collaborate with multiple internal and external teams to define the scope of work and assist in conducting meetings with customers and prospects
- Assist in the creation and presentation of sales documents such as Estimates, Statements of Work, RFPs, and Proposal presentation decks
- Contribute to the ongoing refinement of communications, workshop and delivery templates, processes, patterns, and practices for the Solution Architecture team
- Onboard Delivery team to the conceptual solution architecture and facilitate regular project architecture reviews during the Design phase
- Support internal engagement through open and effective communication across Hitachi Solutions practice areas, IP, and marketing & sales teams
- Travel up to 50% annually to support sales pursuits
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in contract development
- Certification in relevant Microsoft discipline(s)
