Join Ontra's Employee Experience team as a Senior Employer Brand Specialist and elevate the employee journey. Develop and execute comprehensive employer brand strategies, including creating personas and implementing a new EVP. Lead programs in talent acquisition, internal communications, DEIB, and brand initiatives. Drive employee engagement through strategic internal communications, developing content, managing channels, and facilitating feedback. Implement data-driven initiatives to strengthen the employer brand across all employee journey stages. Develop long-term content plans for branding strategies and support the development of SLAs for brand posts. This role requires employer brand expertise, content creation proficiency, flexibility, travel ability, project management skills, technical acumen, an ownership mentality, data-focused approach, and teamwork skills. Ontra is a remote-first company with occasional travel required.
Requirements
- Employer Brand expertise : A minimum of 3+ years of experience in creating and implementing successful employer brand strategies. Knowledge of online marketing strategies and channels, including social media
- Content creation : Proficient in creating engaging content across various formats, including writing, visual storytelling (photography and videography), and editing, with the ability to adapt content for different platforms and audiences
- Flexibility: Ability to think out-of-the-box, test boundaries, and ask thought-provoking questions to build appropriate strategies and communications that align with business objectives
- Travel : Ability and flexibility to attend company offsites/retreats for content-related activities. Estimated at 2-3 times per quarter, sometimes more
- Project management : Proven experience managing projects from initiation to completion and collaborating with diverse stakeholders
- Technical acumen : Proficiency with project management and design tools (e.g., Asana, Canva, Slack) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel - intermediate proficiency) and social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram)
- Ownership mentality: Assumes an ownership mentality and can independently drive on projects while also handling change and conflicting priorities as business needs adjust
- Data-focused : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven and research-oriented mindset, including the ability to analyze ROI
- Teamwork-oriented : Exceptional collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels
Responsibilities
- Employer Brand Strategy & Execution: Drive the development and execution of a comprehensive employer brand strategy, including the creation of personas and implementation of our new EVP, through strategic content initiatives and an employee advocacy program, to promote Ontra's culture and values and attract top talent
- Lead Programs: Under the guidance of the Senior Manager, Employee Experience, support and drive key programs in talent acquisition, internal communications strategies, DEIB, and brand initiatives. This includes developing and executing internal communication plans to foster employee engagement and advocacy
- Employee Engagement and Communications : Drive employee engagement through strategic internal communications. This includes developing content, managing channels, and facilitating feedback mechanisms to ensure employees are informed, connected, and aligned with Ontra's mission and values. Support talent acquisition, DEIB, and brand initiatives with effective internal messaging
- Initiative Development: Implement tailored, data-driven initiatives to strengthen our employer brand across all stages of the employee journey. This includes identifying key touchpoints, developing targeted messaging and content
- Content Strategy: Develop long-term content plans for ongoing branding strategies such as heritage months and employer awards and support the development of SLAs for brand posts
