Summary

Join OpenTable, a leading hospitality platform, as a remote Enterprise Systems Engineer. You will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of business-facing products, system enhancements, and critical reporting for finance and business partners. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, writing code, reviewing integrations, driving architecture decisions, and mentoring a team. You will be responsible for building reliable and observable systems, managing expectations and deadlines, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality operational support to finance partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, preferably with an engineering/technical background
  • 5+ years writing code, with 3+ years on a FinTech/enterprise technology team
  • Demonstrable experience deploying JavaScript and TypeScript, PHP code in an enterprise environment
  • SQL experience
  • Technical skills with prior hands-on experience developing and integrating financial systems such as ERP, AP Automation, AR Receivables, Travel and Expense, Enterprise O2C, R2R, and P2P integration platforms
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and strong analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, adherence to data governance, and control requirements
  • Comfortability partnering cross-functionally with engineering, product, finance and business leaders
  • Eagerness to constantly learn and grow in the role while adapting to whatever new systems are needed in the future

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the business and product teams to lead cross-product improvements and initiatives
  • Write code to implement new tools and platforms, and maintain existing ones
  • Review and update existing integrations
  • Drive architecture evaluations and decisions to build reliable and observable systems
  • Build rapport with partners, manage expectations and deadlines by providing guidance
  • Mentor and lead a team to effectively align resources with priorities and oversee work quality and ongoing operational support being delivered to the finance partners
