You will collaborate with top-level executives to strategize and implement the maintenance, modernization, and migration of our existing codebase. This role involves leading sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives, and operational reviews, ensuring engineering teams deliver roadmap objectives with transparency and focus. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development and 2 years of experience managing a team
- Proficient in PHP and product/system design
- Proficient use of relational databases and experience designing and optimizing database schemas
- Hands-on experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating with backend systems
- You should be able to design and develop user-facing features using React, Vue, or similar framework. Build reusable components for future use and translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code
- You should have a solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and be able to build responsive and user-friendly interfaces
- You should be proficient in Laravel and have experience building web applications using the framework. Should be able to design and develop APIs, create database schemas, and build user interfaces using Laravel
- You should have experience working with one or more cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and be familiar with their services and APIs
Responsibilities
- Leading a software development team, providing guidance, mentorship and direction to junior developers, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Work with tech leads to modernize Cerboβs product thoughtfully. Guide long-term platform improvements (e.g., service extraction, test automation, CI/CD maturity) without disrupting clinical users
- Lead sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives, and operational reviews. Ensure engineering teams are delivering roadmap objectives with transparency and focus
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and customer support, to ensure that software solutions meet business requirements
- Work with other engineering managers and technical architects to align on shared principles, reduce cross-team friction, and make forward-looking architectural decisions
- Communicate with stakeholders, including management, customers, and other teams, to ensure that software solutions meet their needs
