Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor or master degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Technology or similar
  • Have 5-10 years or more relevant experience in similar positions (Enterprise Architecture/Solution Architecture), preferably within one or more of Cognite’s target industry domains (O&G, Manufacturing, P&U), with familiarity with common source systems and data types
  • Possess a proven ability to connect with and coach technical stakeholders, building credible relationships on various levels of the organization
  • Demonstrate confidence to negotiate requirements with customers and colleagues, preferably with experience from consulting
  • Have experience with technical topics such as enterprise integration strategies and design, data and analytics stacks, public cloud, identity providers and network security concepts
  • Have experience hosting technical sessions with customers and colleagues, including workshops, demos and similar
  • Have experience with Git, CI/CD and deployment environments
  • Have experience in development/scripting of integrations and solutions using languages as Python/.NET/, with good understanding of JSON/YAML
  • Be self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Have proficiency in English
  • Possess highly organized, thorough, and excellent communication skills with all stakeholders
  • Be able to collaborate, lead, coach, and work independently
  • Have a passion for data, technology, and “how things work.”

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for end-to-end architecture, solution design, and leading teams of technical experts towards successful solution delivery
  • Provide strategic and technical expertise and support for customers and customer-facing project teams. Offer guidance and develop solutions that enable customers’ business use cases
  • Define complete enterprise and solution architecture, including integration, data models, and data ingestion pipelines, as well as user-facing solutions
  • Ensure operational responsibility and support agreements for the delivered solutions
  • Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives, IT Data Managers, and Business Data Managers, to drive long-term adoption of Cognite’s products and services
  • Train partners and internal teams in your area of specialization, including the creation of training materials, modeling guidelines, standards, and best practices
  • Independently manage integration, data modeling, and similar activities using Cognite data connectors and extractors, SQL, Python/Java, REST APIs, and business intelligence tooling
  • Collaborate with our Engineering and Product Management teams to turn customer needs into a prioritized pipeline of product offerings
  • Develop and maintain technical and business expertise for Cognite’s products
  • Define reference architectures and work with software engineers in the internal enablement team
  • Support pre-sales with technical expertise and ensure a seamless transfer to the delivery phase

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have experience with Oil & Gas, process industries, or manufacturing, particularly domain knowledge such as asset performance/integrity management, flow assurance, chemical plants, or production optimization
  • Be able to travel/internationally and regionally 30-60% of the time
