Summary
Join Unitek Learning as a Remote Senior Financial Aid Administrator and guide students through the financial aid process. You will administer, determine eligibility, and process student financial aid to maintain positive cash flow. Reporting to the Director of Financial Aid, you will counsel students and parents, provide estimates, and run reports to ensure work integrity. Additional responsibilities include interacting with other departments, maintaining updated information on federal regulations, assisting with private loans and VA benefits, training new hires, and participating in projects. This role requires a minimum of two years of experience in financial aid and excellent customer service and organizational skills.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in Financial Aid
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills
- Attention to detail with the capability to multi-task
- Computer knowledge is requested, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Responsibilities
- Meet and communicate with current, prospective and alumni students to guide them through the financial aid process
- Administer, determine eligibility, and process student financial aid to maintain positive cash flow
- Package state and federal aid to eligible students according to regulations and policy
- Counsel students and parents
- Provide estimates and packaging information
- Run reports to ensure work integrity
- Interact with other departments to assist students
- Maintain up-to-date information on new federal regulations
- Assist with Private Loans
- Package VA benefits
- Help DFA partner with other departments to resolve issues which hinder student success
- Help with the training of new hires and provide support for current FA staff
- Participate in projects as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Bachelor’s Degree
