Summary

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, related degree, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting experience
  • Excel skills experience is a necessity (pivot tables, VBA macros and Lookup functions)
  • Strong financial systems and business application skills including database applications (Qlikview)
  • Working knowledge of GAAP
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on solving moderate to complex financial issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter with ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple time sensitive projects, multi-task, identify project interdependencies and potential risks/pitfalls
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and confidentiality in handling information and issues that arise while staying within defined policies and practices
  • Collaborative work style, strong service orientation, and ability to effectively respond to and interact with all levels of organizational staff
  • Employee must complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance training and security training as soon as possible but not later than the first 30 days of hire
  • Must maintain a current status on Natera training requirements

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, identify, and communicate financial expense performance to business partners
  • Review and approve expense requisitions; highlighting items which are outside of budget parameters
  • Develop departmental financial and project expense benchmarks and reporting
  • Create ad-hoc analyses and business forecasts
  • Support accounting close process and audit reporting
  • Design and implement scalable processes and procedures to report key business metrics
  • Identify and drive implementation of cost reduction and process improvement projects
  • Work with all functional groups to meet financial and corporate goals

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting an R&D/Engineering organization is preferred
