Summary

The job is for a Senior Analyst with strong technical skills in the Finance Operations team of Hopper. The role involves supporting senior stakeholders in financial reporting, reconciliation, automation, and building scalable solutions for billing and invoicing workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of analytical experience identifying and investigating data quality, manual issues and building automated solutions
• Proficient in SQL or Python
• Prior experience with financial reporting, cash reconciliation, billing/invoicing workflows or cash flow management
• Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements

Responsibilities

• Process Automation: Identify process gaps and drive projects to simplify and automate finance and payment workflows
• Data Governance: Collaborate with business stakeholders and engineering partners to identify data quality issues and automation opportunities, maximizing efficiency and value-added tasks
• Financial Reporting: Manage and execute financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring data accuracy and completeness, all while understanding business context of the financial performance
• Costs and Revenues Reconciliation: Reconcile total costs and revenues against expectations to help track actuals to forecast, and communicate any expected or unexpected variances
• Stakeholder Management: Partner closely with business stakeholders to ensure alignment on financial accuracy, build trust through reliable data, and create a resilient financial ecosystem that enables informed business decisions and keeps pace with the evolving needs of Hopper
• Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis to identify and implement solutions that address core data and reporting issues
• Lead Ad Hoc Projects: Develop business cases and lead new Finance-managed services and other value-add initiatives
