Senior Full Stack Engineer, LLM Integrations

Summary

Join Sidecar Health, a company redefining health insurance, as a Senior Full Stack Engineer. You will build scalable, full-stack applications using Next.js, TypeScript, and AWS Serverless technologies. Integrate LLM APIs and implement embeddings using vector databases. Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience, with deep knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience with AWS Serverless development (e.g., Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS)
• Experience integrating LLM/AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
• Experience with Next.js
• Understanding of key AI concepts, including: Temperature tuning
• Embeddings and vector search
• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Conversation memory management
• Function calling and chaining
• Prompt engineering techniques
• Experience building and deploying full-stack applications

Responsibilities

• Build scalable, full-stack applications using Next.js, TypeScript, and AWS Serverless (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, etc.)
• Integrate with LLM APIs and implement embeddings using vector databases
• Develop AI-powered product features using RAG architecture, function calling, and conversation memory
• Design and optimize prompt engineering for reliability and safety
• Collaborate closely with product and design to prototype and ship impactful solutions quickly

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working on AI/LLM-integrated products
• Familiarity with tools like Pinecone , Weaviate , or LangChain
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code
