Senior Fund Accountant

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 5+ years’ experience in public accounting, fund administration, or similar
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Desire to manage and train junior team members
• Superior proficiency with MS Excel and QuickBooks Online
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi-task while handling daily client needs
• Interest in delivering superior client service
• Proof of US work eligibility
• Proof of suitable workspace for remote employment

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for select client engagements
• Perform day-to-day accounting activities for client funds and liaise with service providers (fund administrator, prime broker)
• Lead month-end NAV procedures, including fee recalculation, valuation review, and partnership allocations
• Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
• Produce monthly journal entries and prepare bank reconciliations
• Coordinate with outside CPA firms on annual audit and tax return preparation
• Oversee updates to client marketing materials, including fund tear sheet and investor presentation

Advanced degree or CPA
