Join iHerb as a Sr. Global Logistics Specialist and coordinate with logistics carriers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of shipments. You will support the Global Logistics team in managing and growing the carrier portfolio, developing delivery programs, and improving processes. Responsibilities include building carrier relationships, resolving delivery issues, developing new delivery programs, coaching junior team members, setting up and improving processes, analyzing data, identifying improvement opportunities, reporting discrepancies, monitoring freight expenses, researching lost or damaged shipments, managing lead times, troubleshooting issues, performing audits, updating website content, reviewing contracts, and providing training. The ideal candidate possesses experience with US parcel delivery companies, e-commerce logistics, continuous process improvement, and project management. Responsibilities
- Support the Global Logistics Manager to develop faster and better shipping solutions for customers
- Serve as subject matter expert demonstrating in-depth knowledge of market, culture, logistics-related regulations and policies, clearance procedures, etc. for the assigned carriers
- Build relationships with parcel carriers to resolve delivery related issues and identify opportunities for projects/initiatives to achieve mutual growth
- Develop new, progressive, and creative delivery programs/products throughout the assigned markets
- Coach junior team members to develop their system and carrier network knowledge
- Set-up new and continually improve existing processes for the assigned lanes and carriers
- Perform research, gather, and analyze data for assigned lanes and projects
- Identify and scope new opportunities to improve how we serve customers and business processes
- Report any discrepancies of damaged or lost shipments, customs issues, and work with logistics vendors to ensure shipments are properly sent to their correct destinations on time
- Monitor freight expenses for assigned lanes and review invoices. Report any changes or billing issues with the department management team and Accounting Department
- Research lost shipments, broken items and track items via custom brokers and Logistics carriers
- Manage lead time for assigned lanes and investigate delays with internal teams, logistics carriers and customs brokers daily to ensure timely flow of the shipments
- Be responsible for trouble-shooting customs and any logistics related issues
- Perform audits to review logistics processes and cost for the management team when needed
- Organize, maintain, and update website content for assigned lanes
- Review contracts, focusing on commercial terms, and collaborate with the legal team and other stakeholders to drive the review process
- Provide training to team members
- Support tasks and projects when needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience
- Experience with Google Business Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms) preferred
