Summary

Join Centric Software as a Sr. Global Payroll Analyst and oversee global payroll strategies, aligning them with organizational objectives. You will serve as a system administrator for US Workday and UKG OneView payroll applications, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for domestic and international operations. Responsibilities include meticulous financial record-keeping, collaboration with third-party providers, and maintaining compliance with all relevant tax regulations. You will also lead special projects, conduct audits, and identify opportunities for process optimization. This role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, along with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The position reports to the Global Payroll Manager and is based remotely in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or relevant field, or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in Global processing payroll, with a minimum employee base of 300
  • Demonstrated experience of at least 8 years in leading end-to-end payroll processes for multinational organizations
  • Exceptional ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under tight deadlines
  • Proficient problem-solving skills coupled with strong analytical and project management abilities
  • Capacity to operate within a highly confidential environment, maintaining discretion and integrity
  • Skilled in analyzing large datasets and presenting key insights to leadership confidently
  • Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams, including legal, HR, tax, payroll, accounting, and finance departments
  • Microsoft Office suites, especially Excel. Needs to be skilled in creating and managing spreadsheets, performing data analysis, using formulas and functions, creating charts and graphs, and working with pivot tables

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the global payroll strategy in alignment with the organization's objectives
  • Serve as the System Administrator for US Workday payroll, and UKG One View for International payroll applications, ensuring continuous updates and maintenance
  • Ensure precise, compliant, and punctual processing of payroll for both domestic and international operations
  • Record transactions meticulously in the designated payroll bank account, covering payroll, benefits expenses, FSA/HSA/Commuter transactions, 401K, and stock exercises
  • Collaborate with third-party payroll providers, offering strategic guidance on business requirements and addressing payroll-related issues effectively
  • Maintain close communication with third-party payroll providers to guarantee timely fulfillment of monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax filings. Ensure adherence to all local statutory payroll regulations and fringe benefit reporting requirements
  • Uphold compliance with federal, state, local, and international tax regulations, as well as wage and hour laws. This includes managing payroll tax registrations as necessary
  • Execute and oversee monthly payroll closing tasks, encompassing the preparation and review of period-end accruals, monthly journal entries for all payroll and benefits, reconciliation of payroll accounts, and preparation of month-end flux analysis
  • Lead special projects, such as process documentation and enhancements, system updates, integrations, upgrades, or implementations, including the re-implementation of international payroll systems
  • Assist with internal control policies, procedures, and compliance standards related to the payroll process
  • Delivering exceptional payroll support to all employees and cross-functional teams by promptly addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests with professionalism and accuracy
  • Identifying opportunities for process optimization and recommending scalable solutions to improve payroll operational efficiency without compromising accuracy
  • Conducting regular payroll audits and preparing comprehensive supporting schedules for external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with ADP, Vistra, Tricor payroll systems is highly desirable, though not mandatory

Benefits

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000 - $145,000
