Join Moneytree as a Senior Growth Marketer to spearhead growth initiatives for our financial management SaaS, Moneytree Business, targeting small to medium businesses (SMBs) in Japan. You will develop and execute comprehensive growth strategies, encompassing acquisition, activation, retention, and referral. This role demands a data-driven approach, leveraging various marketing channels and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Your responsibilities include designing and running experimental marketing campaigns, analyzing campaign performance, and identifying scalable growth levers. You will also build strategic partnerships and refine our messaging to resonate with SMBs. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of the SMB market and proven experience in B2B SaaS or FinTech.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Growth Marketing roles, with a strong focus on B2B SaaS or FinTech products
  • Proven track record of driving measurable user acquisition and revenue growth through data-driven strategies and experimentation
  • Deep understanding of the SMB market, including their unique needs, challenges, and digital behaviors
  • Expertise in various growth channels, including but not limited to paid acquisition (SEM, Social), SEO, content marketing, email marketing, and product-led growth strategies
  • Proficiency in marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude) and A/B testing methodologies
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams (Product, Sales, Engineering)
  • Highly creative and innovative mindset, with a passion for discovering new growth opportunities and challenging the status quo

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive growth strategies tailored for the SMB market, encompassing acquisition, activation, retention, and referral
  • Identify and deeply understand the financial challenges and aspirations of small business owners, translating these insights into compelling marketing messages and product improvements
  • Design and run experimental marketing campaigns across various channels (e.g., digital advertising, content marketing, partnerships, community engagement, webinars, direct outreach) to discover scalable growth levers
  • Leverage data and analytics to continuously monitor campaign performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize spend and improve ROI
  • Collaborate closely with product, sales, and engineering teams to ensure a cohesive user journey and to champion features that address SMB needs and drive adoption
  • Explore and establish strategic partnerships with organizations, associations, and influencers within the SMB ecosystem to expand our reach and build credibility
  • Develop and refine our messaging and value proposition to resonate effectively with diverse segments of small businesses
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes related to Open Banking and the SMB financial landscape
  • Immerse yourself in Moneytree Business: Gain a deep understanding of our product features, technology stack (especially Open Banking integration), current user base, and the unique challenges faced by our SMB customers
  • Audit current growth channels and performance: Conduct a comprehensive review of existing marketing campaigns, user acquisition funnels, and data analytics. Identify immediate areas for optimization and quick wins
  • Build key relationships: Connect with core stakeholders across Product, Sales, and Engineering teams to understand their roadmaps, challenges, and how growth marketing can best support their objectives
  • Develop initial hypotheses and a testing roadmap: Based on your initial analysis, propose a set of data-driven hypotheses for new growth experiments and outline a clear plan for testing them
  • Launch your first growth experiment: Implement and analyze at least one high-impact growth experiment to demonstrate immediate value and set the tone for data-driven iteration

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus)
