Requirements

  • 8-9 years of HR related experience in a fast paced and hands on environment
  • Experience growing an innovative P&C department
  • Exceptional, β€œtype-A” organizational skills with critical attention to detail
  • Proactive approach with a heightened sense of urgency
  • Solutions-oriented attitude and ability to identify and address obstacles quickly and efficiently
  • Advocate for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in all agency practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively and see projects through to completion
  • Positive, relationship-building attitude with strong cross-functional partnerships
  • Professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive employee information
  • Passion for people management and developing high-performing, inclusive cultures
  • Hands-on experience with Human Resources Management Software (including payroll systems, HRIS and ATS)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the EVP, Head of People and Culture to set clear People and Culture objectives
  • Manage HR operations, including all payroll processing
  • Serve as an expert and trusted business partner, offering guidance across a wide range of HR functions
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance our remote-first work environment
  • Assist with designing and implementing policies that promote a balanced, equitable, and inclusive workplace
  • Assist with managing compensation and benefits programs
  • Partner with department leaders and managers to develop employee growth and development plans
  • Analyze and report out HR data by leveraging storytelling to inform decision-making
  • Lead the creation, organization, and implementation of company-wide training and development initiatives
  • Ensure timely response to employee requests and grievances
