Senior Level Designer

Summary

Join That's No Moon, an independent game studio, as a Senior Level Designer. You will be responsible for designing game geometry and gameplay, collaborating with various teams to create immersive experiences. Leverage your skills in level design, combat scripting, and prototyping to contribute to next-gen gameplay and storytelling. Requirements

• Shipped at least one AAA title in either action-adventure or shooter genres
• Experience with Unreal Engine is a must
• Strong experience building and iterating on 3D level geometry
• Experience designing and tuning ranged combat spaces
• Experience with level event and combat scripting
• Knowledge of and interest in the type of game we are making

Responsibilities

• Design geometry and gameplay for sections of the game, collaborating with leads and directors to create unforgettable experiences that marry gameplay and narrative— stories that players experience on-the-stick
• Work with engineering, animation and design teams to implement content, solve workflow issues, and develop content pipelines
• Prototype your aesthetic and technical vision with your own skills
• Communicate your vision to the rest of the team and get all the departments pumped to collaborate with you!
• Work with producers to plan out and prioritize your development schedule. Know what the most important parts of your design are and have plans to reduce scope if something takes longer than expected

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of art packages such as Maya, Max, and the Adobe suite a plus
