Senior M365 Engineer

Summary

Join Encora as a Senior M365 Engineer and lead the design, implementation, and support of Microsoft 365 services, focusing on Exchange Online, Security & Compliance, and collaboration tools. This remote role, based in Peru, Colombia, Costa Rica, or Bolivia, demands deep M365 expertise, advanced troubleshooting skills, and the ability to manage migrations and transformations in hybrid or cloud-first environments. You will design and implement secure M365 solutions, serve as an Exchange Online SME, lead migration projects, configure tenant settings, and develop compliance policies. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, extensive software development experience, professional English skills, and 5+ years of experience managing Exchange Online and email migrations. Strong knowledge of M365 security and compliance tools and PowerShell scripting is essential.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• Extensive experience in software development with a focus on designing and building scalable applications
• Professional/ Advanced English skills
• +5 years of experience
• Hands-on experience managing Exchange Online, hybrid Exchange environments, and email migrations
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance Center, Entra Connect, and Intune
• Expertise in PowerShell scripting for M365 and Exchange Online administration
• Deep understanding of email hygiene, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, and Microsoft Defender for Office 365

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable and secure M365 solutions, particularly focused on Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams and OneDrive
• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Exchange Online, supporting hybrid configurations, mail flow, security, and compliance settings
• Lead migration projects from on-premises Exchange or third-party platforms to Exchange Online
• Configure and maintain Microsoft 365 tenant settings, including licensing, policies, security, and feature rollout
• Develop and enforce governance, compliance, and retention policies
