Summary
Join Mozilla Corporation's global accounting team as a leader, overseeing all accounting operations in Europe. You will lead the monthly close and consolidation process, develop and implement accounting best practices, and mentor a team of three in Europe while assisting with a Business Process Outsourcing team in India. Collaborate with business partners to improve processes and accuracy of financial information. Manage relationships with local advisory teams on compliance audits. This role requires a minimum of 7 years of progressively advancing experience in a global organization, including 5+ years of management experience and expertise in consolidation, intercompany transactions, and US GAAP. A BA/BS or master's degree in accounting or equivalent experience is needed. Requirements
- Minimum 7 years progressively advancing experience. Past experience in a global organization required
- 5+ years of management experience
- Experience with multiple levels of consolidation and intercompany transactions including a strong understanding of foreign currency revaluation and cumulative translation adjustment requirements
- Sound knowledge of US GAAP; knowledge of European accounting rules is a plus
- BA/BS and/or masters degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience
- Highly organized and a clear communicator
- Process oriented and desire to identify and implement continuous improvement
Responsibilities
- Lead and review the global monthly close and consolidation process including preparation and/or review of journal entries, reconciliations and month end reporting
- Develop and implement accounting best practices
- Lead the initiation to improve the internal control environment and financial quality
- Develop and mentor an accounting team of three, based in Europe, as well as assist in managing the Business Process Outsourcing team based in India
- Collaborate with business partners to improve the efficiency of existing processes and accuracy of financial information at the product level
- Assist in managing relationships with local advisory teams on compliance audits and topics (tax, audit, other reporting)
