Summary

Join Riskified as a Senior Manager of Competitive Intelligence to lead the competitive strategy and manage relationships with key industry analysts. You will deliver objective analysis of Riskified's platform, identify competitive threats, and empower teams to create industry-leading products. This people management role involves overseeing a team focused on market research and intelligence. Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Marketing & Market Intelligence, you will be responsible for global competitive intelligence and analyst engagement. The role balances strategic needs (competitor differentiation) and tactical needs (deals, regional GTM needs). Success is measured by improved competitive readiness, positioning, differentiation, and increased win rates.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in product marketing or competitive Intelligence in a B2B SaaS company
  • You have a deep understanding of the retail ecommerce industry
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively position B2B products for growth in the market, working with marketing and sales to build a healthy pipeline while increasing the velocity and rate of closing deals
  • Experience in leading company/platform level, and product level differentiated positioning
  • You are naturally curious and want to deeply understand Riskified’s customer segmentation, buying committee members, technology, product-market fit
  • Self-driven, flexible, and can handle challenges while maintaining your cool and sense of humor
  • Works well independently, but enjoys collaborating as part of a team, with demonstrated ability to effectively engage with external and internal stakeholders, including senior executives
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, visual), both for internal audiences and customer-facing messaging, with experience building and leading training to GTM
  • Strong analytical skills, highly capable of interpreting data, performing qualitative research, and distilling results into actionable key takeaways

Responsibilities

  • Drive proactive competitive strategy : Identify and analyze competitive trends, threats, and opportunities across market sources to inform strategic planning and counter-positioning
  • Empower GTM teams : Gather and prioritize internal competitive intelligence needs, delivering actionable insights and resources to stakeholders
  • Influence product roadmap : Collaborate with Product and PMM to integrate competitive insights directly into the product roadmap for maximum effectiveness
  • Lead rapid response : Coordinate cross-functional teams to develop and execute timely responses to critical competitive pressures, briefing executive leadership as needed
  • Shape positioning : Partner with Product Marketing to refine market positioning and execute competitive strategies that enhance market leadership
  • Leverage analyst relationships : Manage key analyst relationships (e.g., Gartner) to secure favorable positioning and disseminate valuable market intelligence across the organization
  • Prioritize competitive intelligence needs from stakeholders and develop plans to address them
  • Conduct ongoing research to track competitive landscape changes
  • Manage competitive positioning priorities and create validated, accessible competitive briefs and assets
  • Ensure Go-to-Market teams have self-serve access to essential competitive resources for deals
  • Collaboration with Revenue Enablement to improve seller readiness through enablement programs and feedback loops
  • Manage analyst relations (e.g., Gartner), including scheduling briefings in collaboration with PMM/MI leadership and the CMO

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bonus points for experience in the online fraud domain
  • Managerial experience of FTE - bonus
