Senior Manager, Product Design

This remote role based in India requires 8+ years of product design experience and 4+ years managing designers. You will be a strategic design leader and hands-on practitioner, contributing to design solutions and working closely with Product and Engineering leadership.

Requirements

• Be a versatile full-stack designer who shapes end-to-end experiences, combining expertise in information architecture, interaction design, visual design, motion design, and content strategy to transform concepts into polished products
• Establish a strong vision and roadmap for JumpCloud solutions
• Have experience leading a team, including coaching, mentoring, and team development
• Effectively collaborate cross-functionally to deliver solutions that scale across responsive web, native desktop, and mobile
• Possess strong attention to detail, and pride of ownership for holistic quality to deliver a simple, loveable, and complete design solution
• Partner effectively with product managers and engineering to evangelize for the user, establish shared vision and roadmap, while partnering effectively to maintain and prioritize a backlog and pipeline
• Have excellent visual communication skills for crafting user-friendly documentation and UX / engineering enablement tools
• Have 8+ years of product design experience within consumer-focused, fast-paced tech companies, delivering customer value quickly to the market
• Have 4+ years managing designers
• Be equally passionate about strategic leadership and hands-on design work, comfortable both developing high-level direction and crafting pixel-perfect layouts in Figma
• Be a persuasive communicator and advocate, with a track record for translating vision and strategy into a clear and actionable roadmap
• Have shipped many products over the years and be skilled at balancing both business-to-consumer and business-to-business considerations
• Empathize with unique IT users, understand our technology, and simplify complex functional operations into smooth and intuitive user experiences
• Have experience working in an agile environment with design, product, and engineering leaders to align on product strategy and make them real as a team
• Be a trusted mentor whose actions, experience, and knowledge are influential to design and designers
• Be passionate about design culture and be a voice of design principles and methods across all functions and levels of the organization
• Be located in and authorized to work in India
• Speak and write in English fluently

Responsibilities

• Serve as both strategic design leader and hands-on practitioner, guiding a diverse team of Product Designers while actively contributing to design solutions
• Work closely with Product and Engineering leadership, help define our product vision and create actionable milestones to achieve it
