Requirements

  • Ph.D. or equivalent experience in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Synthetic Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical or scientific roles within SynBio with BioPharma experience
  • Experience developing and deploying scientific strategies to drive product adoption globally
  • Prior managerial and/or supervisory experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of SynBio, and BioPharma workflows
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, global projects and align stakeholders across regions
  • Proven ability to interact and communicate effectively with stakeholders up to C-level, both internally and externally
  • Ability to analyze data, define KPIs, and make data-driven decisions to improve team efficiency and customer outcomes

Responsibilities

  • Drive professional growth, efficiency, and consistent performance within the global FAS/Scientific Development team supporting SynBio and BioPharma portfolios
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to help the commercial org drive portfolio adoption across all markets
  • Align with senior commercial leadership to determine long-term strategic priorities and ensure success in revenue growth and customer engagement
  • Drive technical training and efficiency improvements for the global Scientific Development team and Sales team to ensure exceptional customer support pre- and post-sales
  • Ensure effective representation at global conferences and trade shows, highlighting Twist’s capabilities in SynBio and Biopharma
  • Act as a key applications expert contributing to product and service development, collaborating with R&D and internal stakeholders to explore new capabilities and address emerging opportunities
  • Contribute to and deliver technical collateral, including publications, white papers, product literature, and training resources to support global commercial teams and revenue growth
  • Define and track KPIs to measure team productivity, customer success, and business impact
  • Streamline processes and workflows to enhance efficiency, technical support, and knowledge sharing across regions
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, professional growth, and technical excellence
  • Manage team schedules, ensuring efficient deployment to meet customer needs
  • Ensure the team provides tailored solutions for diverse customer applications
  • Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues, coordinating with internal R&D and support teams as necessary
  • Manage budgets and resources for team operations, including travel and other needs
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and quality standards in all interactions
