Senior Manager, Sourcing

Join Ollie, a company dedicated to improving the lives of pets and their owners, as a Senior Sourcing Manager. You will be responsible for sourcing, procuring, and distributing high-quality raw ingredients for Ollie's pet food. This role involves developing procurement programs, building vendor relationships, optimizing the supply chain, and ensuring responsible sourcing practices. The position is remote within the U.S. and reports to the Sr. Director of Supply Chain. You will play a vital role in scaling the business while meeting margin and sustainability goals. This is a crucial role in delivering on Ollie's commitment to responsible sourcing and refining its impact strategy.

Requirements

• Experience working with teams in a fast paced, high growth environment
• Strong work ethic, ability to work autonomously and self-sufficiently
• Relationship development and deal negotiation experience
• Passion for sustainable food systems and a strong desire to make a positive impact
• Ability to manage projects that have both clear and time-bound deliverables and areas of ambiguity with longer time horizons
• 5+ years’ experience working in food supply chain and or food operations
• Undergraduate degree from an accredited institution with a strong academic performance
• Strong communication and analytical skills both internally and externally

Responsibilities

• Develop programs for procurement and vendor selection, including frameworks for vendor evaluation, engagement and RFP ownership
• Establish extensive professional knowledge of the US and global food supply chain through research and tools provided by Ollie, allowing for predictive pricing and forward-looking contract pricing to protect margins
• Understand market indicators and anticipate changes in the market
• Build on our existing partnerships and develop new relationships with mission-driven farmers and distributors who offer traceable ingredients, sustainable practices, and animal welfare
• Communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual projections to our vendors and manufacturers
• Oversee analysis of supply chain effectiveness, vendor risk, and vendor performance
• Develop and execute our responsible sourcing standards in partnership with Ollie’s Chief Impact Officer (CIO)
