Summary

Join Fastly as a Senior Manager of Deal Strategy and lead the development and execution of deal strategies and order management to drive revenue growth and increase market share. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize pricing, discounting, and contract terms. Create and maintain deal strategy and order management policies and procedures. Monitor and report on deal and order management performance metrics. Build and manage a high-performing deal desk team. This role reports to the VP of Finance Operations and requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 3+ years of experience in deal desk management, and 6+ years of experience with deal structuring or sales deal analyses. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in deal desk management, sales operations, or finance
  • 6+ years with a deal structuring,  contract volume focus, or sales deal analyses
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure complex deals
  • Process improvement and transformation experience
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Experience with CRM and CPQ tools, such as Salesforce and Apttus
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to build and manage high-performing teams
  • Strong understanding of financial, legal and operational risks
  • Experience working in a public company SOX-compliant environment

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all Deals Strategy and Order Management operations.  Through a combination of automation and standardization, scale the deal flow process for optimal deal velocity
  • Develop and implement deal strategies to achieve revenue targets and drive growth
  • Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Product teams to structure deals that maximize profitability and minimize risk
  • Create and maintain deal strategy and order management policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization
  • Monitor and report on deal and order management performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Build and manage a high-performing deal desk team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to team members

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience running a Deal Desk at a $600+ million revenue tech company
  • CPA designation
