Senior Manager User Experience Design

Summary

The Senior Manager of UX will lead UX design and execution for Xometry's Order Fulfillment domain, overseeing a team of 3-5 UX designers. The ideal candidate has experience in multi-sided marketplaces, service design, or tech platforms with a strong operational component.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in UX design, with at least 3 years in a people management role
• Proven experience leading UX design projects from concept to completion
• Expertise in UX design tools, especially Figma
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong leadership skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing design talent
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end user experience design process
• Mentor and grow a team of 3-5 UX designers
• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders
• Create customer journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
• Facilitate user research and usability testing efforts
• Ensure that UX design solutions are scalable, accessible, and aligned with product guidelines
• Advocate for user-centered design principles across the organization
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality UX solutions
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure designs are implemented accurately and meet user experience goals

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in service design, especially marketplaces with a large operations component
• Experience leading or maintaining design systems and component libraries
• Experience leading design for complex enterprise applications or internal-facing operations and fulfillment systems
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices (e.g., WCAG)
