Summary

Rumble, a high-growth neutral video platform, is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to deploy, manage, and automate network infrastructure. The successful candidate will implement and support network solutions, document designs, present ideas for expansion, assist with deployments and upgrades, and participate in an on-call rotation. They must have three to five years of network experience, a strong understanding of IPv4 and familiarity with IPv6, experience with routing and switching protocols, solid experience with Linux systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and effective communication abilities.

Requirements

• Three to five years of relevant network experience
• A strong understanding of IPv4 and familiarity with IPv6
• Experience with routing and switching protocols (BGP, STP)
• Solid experience with linux systems and managing them in a production environment
• Ability to create and maintain high quality network documentation
• Excellent troubleshooting skills, a creative and methodical thinker who can work within a team of professionals
• Effective communicator (both verbal and written) who can clearly present information or ideas
• Willingness to learn, be challenged and have fun in a dynamic and fast paced environment

Responsibilities

• Implementing and supporting network solutions
• Documenting designs and exchanging ideas with other members of the team
• Regularly presenting ideas and designs for network expansion and resilience
• Assist with ongoing deployments and network upgrades
• Participate in an on-call rotation, responding to and resolving incidents while communicating network status to other members of the team
• Occasional travel to sites for implementations or changes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with network automation tools, Ansible experience a plus
• Experience with multiple network operating systems (Juniper, Arista, Cisco)
• Scripting experience with python or equivalent language
• Experience implementing and supporting wireless networks in corporate environments
