Summary
Join Toast as a Senior Payroll Analyst and manage all day-to-day payroll activities for US and international payrolls. You will report to the Payroll Manager and be responsible for inputting employee payroll and benefits data. This senior role involves collaborating with Finance and HR, driving change, and contributing to company-wide goals. Responsibilities include coordinating and auditing payroll, maintaining data integrity, reconciling payments, and ensuring accurate tax reporting. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience, along with 3+ years of payroll experience and strong Excel skills.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of payroll experience
- Thorough knowledge of US payroll tax laws for a multi-state employer
- Attention to detail
- Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and build strong relationships with key stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Work with Payroll Manager to coordinate, audit, produce and approve bi-weekly payroll for multi-state US and international payroll, including off-cycle payments or supplemental (bonus and year ending) payrolls, as needed
- Maintain data integrity of payroll applications on a daily basis
- Reconcile and compute pay for new hires, pay/hour changes
- Reconciliation of quarterly 941s and the reconciliation and distribution of annual W-2 reporting
- Communicate and escalate issues and risks in a timely manner
- Establish and maintain process documentation for new procedures
- Work with payroll provider tax services to register for both state and local taxes
