Requirements
- 5+ yearsβ experience processing multi-state payroll. International payroll experience (e.g. UK) is a plus, but not a requirement
- Strong knowledge of payroll practices, tax laws, and regulations
- Proficiency in payroll software (ADP and/or Workday preferred, but not required) and MS Office, especially Excel
- Experience implementing new payroll systems. Workday implementation experience is a plus, but not a requirement
- Strong analytical capabilities
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Bachelorβs degree
Responsibilities
- Manage payroll and benefits administration for a roughly 250-person US employee population and a roughly 30-person international employee population
- Manage payroll processing in ADP, including semi-monthly multi-state/multi-entity payroll processing, monthly international payroll processing, time off maintenance and tracking, processing timesheets, managing 401(k) remittances, and maintaining payroll reports and spreadsheets accurately and securely
- Develop and maintain payroll processes, procedures and documentation
- Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to payroll and benefits, including tax-related items
- Support the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs (group health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, retirement, etc.)
- Conduct audits of payroll, benefits, and other HR programs. Resolve any payroll or benefits discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner
- Coordinate within the People Operations team to ensure accurate and timely processing of new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations. Support overall HRIS data entry and maintenance
- Provide excellent employee service, including answering employee requests and questions about payroll and benefits. Ensure employee changes to withholdings, benefits and/or direct deposits are timely and accurate
- Review payroll- and benefit-related invoices
