Summary
Join Grafana Labs' People Analytics team as a Data Analyst to build and maintain data infrastructure and tooling, driving strategy and roadmap prioritization. Collaborate with various People Team functions, the Data & Analytics department, and report to the Senior Manager of People Analytics. This role involves developing dbt models, creating self-service dashboards, and serving as a strategic partner, shaping the people analytics roadmap and defining KPIs. The team is focused on ramping up analytics capabilities, from data cleansing and transformation to visualization and dashboarding. This position requires experience with people data, SQL, data visualization tools, dbt models, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have experience partnering across people, business, and data/analytics organizations.
Requirements
- Experience partnering across people, business and data/analytics organizations, and familiarity with typical people analytics metrics, KPIs and analysis
- SQL: writing complex yet efficient SQL is a daily habit for you
- Data Visualization: experience with any of the following tools Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, Mode, Hex, or of course, Grafana!
- Experience working with people data from various sources/systems, writing dbt models, and code version control (git)
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences, and maintain many of the essential cross-team and cross-functional relationships necessary for the teamβs success
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across the People Team, business and Data & Analytics department to understand analytics needs and translate them into scalable solutions
- Build and maintain scalable, high-quality data pipelines and processes for People Analytics reporting, automations, and ultimately insights
- Develop and manage dbt models to transform and test our people data in partnership with our Analytics Engineering team
- Create and automate clear, actionable, self-service dashboards for the People Team and business leadership
- Serve as a strategic partner and subject matter expert across the People Team and broader business to shape the people analytics roadmap, define KPIs, and guide long-term strategy
