Join TROOP, a global, remote-first company, as their Senior People & Culture Manager. Based in Spain (CET timezone), you will spearhead the development and execution of TROOP's remote operating model. This role involves designing scalable remote policies, fostering an inclusive work environment, and executing talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies across multiple locations (US, UK, Spain, South Africa). You will also play a key role in shaping and implementing the company's people strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing global teams and implementing remote operating plans within a startup/scaleup environment. Requirements
- Demonstrated experience implementing a remote operating plan within a remote-first or hybrid startup/scaleup environment (70 to 250+ employees)
- Experience in implementing people strategies, including performance management and leadership development initiatives
- Experience managing and engaging with global teams, particularly in the US, the UK, Spain, and South Africa
- Experience in establishing and leading cultural and talent strategies across multiple locations, as well as developing and implementing comprehensive, scalable people strategies
- Ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships across all levels, including at the C-level
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with a strong preference for proficiency in Spanish
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms such as BambooHR
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable remote policies, procedures, and frameworks to support a fully distributed, multi-timezone workforce within our main hubs
- Ensure that remote work practices are effective, efficient, and aligned with business goals
- Develop initiatives to enhance employee engagement, productivity, and well-being in a remote work environment
- Collaborate across departments, including finance and operations teams, to ensure alignment between people processes and overall business objectives
- Foster an inclusive work environment that embodies the values and mission of TROOP
- Develop and implement initiatives and strategies to maintain and enhance TROOP’s culture in a fully distributed environment
- Engage in international travel as needed to promote cultural collaboration and strengthen team connections
- Design and execute scalable talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies within our main hubs
- Evaluate company structure and organization design to achieve business goals through workforce planning and talent management strategies
- Implement a comprehensive people strategy, including performance management, benchmarking, training and development, benefits and compensation design, compliance with local regulations, and employee conflict resolution
- Develop an executive leadership training program to ensure that senior leaders are equipped with the skills and knowledge to drive organizational success
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and leadership, addressing HR-related queries and ensuring alignment with company values
