Summary

Join Fleetio's People team as a Senior People Business Partner to support key business units. As a strategic partner and trusted coach to senior leaders, you will provide insight, structure, and follow-through to help teams thrive. This high-trust, high-autonomy role involves translating company-wide strategy into action at the division level, focusing on doing the right things to help business leaders lead better. You will bring clarity, connection, and confidence to your part of the organization and help model impactful People Partnership. Fleetio is a rapidly growing software platform managing fleet operations, having recently raised significant funding. This role is embedded within the business, requiring close collaboration with various teams and leaders.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in HR or People Partner roles, ideally in a fast-paced or high-growth environment
  • Proven ability to coach leaders, influence without authority, and build trust at all levels
  • Skilled in performance management, organizational design, and talent development
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and setting priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Insight-driven: you combine what you hear, see, and know to guide better decisions

Responsibilities

  • Act as a thought partner to your divisionโ€™s leadership team on org design, team health, talent planning, and change management
  • Join leadership meetings to stay close to goals, challenges, and shifts in the business
  • Proactively surface risks and opportunities across the team, using both data and judgment
  • Lead talent calibrations during quarterly performance review cycles, helping identify key talent, retention risks, and performance concerns
  • Build and share monthly org health summaries with leaders, tracking trends across attrition, engagement, performance, and more
  • Support succession planning and promotion readiness, ensuring alignment between business needs and internal growth
  • Serve as the go-to thought partner for managers, especially on performance, feedback, and team dynamics
  • Help managers apply people programs and practices in a way that fits their teams
  • Partner with People Experience and Ops, Talent Development, and Talent Acquisition to deliver smooth workflows and connected programs
  • Offer feedback on whatโ€™s working or not in the field; PBPs are the connective tissue, not the owners of every initiative
  • Collaborate on documentation and resources as needed, but keep things simple, scalable, and tied to frontline needs
