Requirements

  • 4+ years of product design experience working on a digital product
  • Be a collaborative designer who seeks the truth with partners across engineering, product management, UX research, product analysts, product marketing, and technical writers
  • Be an evidence-based decision maker who identifies problems to solve through user research, captures insights, and integrates findings into design improvements
  • Be able to frame creative solutions by contextualizing the problem space in people’s journeys
  • Be at ease with ambiguity and learn through experimentation to find clarity
  • Be a clear communicator who articulates design decisions, their constraints, trade-offs, and risks
  • Be a dedicated craftsperson who uses skills in wire-framing, prototyping, and interaction design to create great user experiences
  • Be a growth-oriented Individual Contributor with a few years of experience working on complex applications and a focus on expanding broad proficiency of skills and career

Responsibilities

  • Define and design high-impact features for chat messaging
  • Iterate on the user experience to improve how customers send chat messages with Braze
  • Identify and prioritize problems to solve through research and customer feedback
  • Scale the design experience to offer best-in-class marketing tools
  • Serve as a strategic partner with Engineering and Product Management, contributing to the team’s vision, goals, and processes
  • Partner with product managers, engineers, fellow designers, UX researchers, product analysts, and technical writers to deliver solutions
  • Participate in regular design work sessions to receive and provide feedback on design work
  • Understand Braze's users and business
  • Be an effective verbal and visual communicator

Preferred Qualifications

  • Significant experience with any aspect of lifecycle marketing
  • Portfolio demonstrating the why’s of design decisions supported by user insights, data, or technical limitations
  • Experience shipping high-impact features
  • Experience working on SaaS products both on web and mobile
  • Experience in an agile organization, working in cross-functional teams/pods/verticals
