Senior Product Designer

Summary

Join YipitData, a leading data and analytics firm, as a Senior Product Designer to lead the product through complex UX challenges and create intuitive, actionable experiences for customers. You will conduct user research, design prototypes, and collaborate with product managers and engineers to ensure your work has tangible impact. This fully remote role based in India requires working between 12:30pm - 9:30pm IST at least 3 days per week, with flexible hours on other days.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing data applications that provide analytics and insights in simple and actionable ways
• Experience designing data analytics applications, including dashboards and data visualizations (this requirement is a high priority!)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly to a diverse audience
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma as well as cutting-edge AI tools to empower you to go faster
• Excellent user research skills and the ability to translate research findings into tangible design solutions
• Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end design process from discovery to production. This process may include research proposals, information architecture, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity artifacts that Engineering can deliver
• Plan and conduct tests to validate the usability and value of your solutions as quickly as possible
• Iteratively improve the user experience until we’re confident it will delight our customers
• Conduct research to deepen our understanding of our user personas, discover opportunities to solve problems that matter, and propose solutions that will generate value for our customers
• Influence the vision and strategy of our product’s experience by analyzing, consolidating, and synthesizing what is known about the needs of our customers
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to refine product strategy and create user-centric solutions to the most important customer problems
• Seek out and experiment with user-centered design and research methodologies
• Encourage growth, innovation, and creativity within the design org
