Summary

Join HashiCorp as a Product Manager to lead the development of new Terraform workflows focused on resource discovery, compliance enforcement, and real-time infrastructure insights. This is a 0-to-1 product role where you will define new workflows, build innovative discovery experiences, and shape how Terraform evolves to manage infrastructure in real-time. You will define and execute the product strategy, develop intelligent search capabilities, build native Terraform workflows, and enable real-time compliance detection. Collaboration with various teams (engineering, design, security, operations, marketing, sales, and support) is crucial. The role requires strong technical understanding of Terraform, Infrastructure-as-Code, and cloud platforms, along with 5+ years of product management experience.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience with developer tools, infrastructure automation, cloud security, or observability platforms
  • Strong technical understanding of Terraform, Infrastructure-as-Code, and Cloud Resource Management (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Strong technical acumen with a focus on building real-time search experiences and automation-driven workflows
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, security, and operations) to build search-driven infrastructure tools

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the strategy for this space, creating new primitives and workflows for resource discovery at scale
  • Develop intelligent search capabilities to detect and identify unmanaged infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments
  • Build native Terraform workflows that allow users to import unmanaged infrastructure seamlessly, ensuring consistency across environments
  • Enable real-time compliance detection, allowing organizations to proactively find and remediate non-compliant resources
  • Work closely with Terraform Core and Cloud teams to integrate new workflows into existing infrastructure management workflows
  • Build highly reactive infrastructure detection capabilities, allowing teams to respond to changes in managed and unmanaged resources in real-time
  • Enable continuous inventory tracking, ensuring that all resources—whether defined in Terraform or not—are surfaced and classified
  • Develop Terraform-native discovery workflows, ensuring teams can easily track which resources are managed, unmanaged, or in violation of policies
  • Design first-class search experiences that help teams query, discover, and assess their infrastructure at scale
  • Create automated workflows that enable users to bring unmanaged infrastructure under Terraform control with minimal friction
  • Provide visibility into infrastructure state changes, ensuring organizations maintain compliance and avoid configuration drift
  • Own and manage the roadmap, prioritizing high-impact features that improve resource discovery and infrastructure governance
  • Develop and maintain Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and collaborate with engineering to bring this new workflow to life
  • Partner with Terraform Core, Cloud, and Policy teams to enable real-time compliance detection for both managed and unmanaged infrastructure
  • Work with compliance and security teams to provide deep visibility into infrastructure drift, misconfigurations, and policy violations
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and support teams to position this effort as standard for infrastructure discovery and compliance
  • Engage with Terraform practitioners and enterprise customers to iterate and refine search workflows based on real-world infrastructure challenges

Preferred Qualifications

Ideally, experience with search, indexing, and real-time infrastructure discovery workflows

Benefits
