Summary

Join Planful as a Senior Product Manager and lead the strategy, development, and success of our consolidation solution. You will collaborate with global cross-functional teams to define the product vision, prioritize features, and deliver innovative solutions. This role offers the exciting opportunity to lead a high-growth product line, shape the future of the consolidation business, and make a significant impact for our customers. You will be responsible for driving product development from concept to launch, working closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in product management, particularly within consolidations, FP&A, and accounting software, along with a strong understanding of accounting principles and agile methodologies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience (6+ years) in product management roles, with a focus on consolidations, FP&A, and accounting software
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and US GAAP accounting principles
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform product strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, prioritize initiatives, and drive product development from concept to launch
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate product vision, requirements, and priorities to stakeholders
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and product management tools such as JIRA or Asana
  • Proficiency with Google Suite and comfort with learning new technology
  • Able to enthusiastically work within constantly changing priorities and remain flexible

Responsibilities

  • Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, aligned with company goals and market opportunities
  • Conduct market research, customer interviews, and competitive analysis to identify market needs, trends, and opportunities for differentiation
  • Prioritize feature development and enhancements based on customer feedback, market analysis, and business objectives
  • Work closely with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into user stories, specifications, and design concepts
  • Lead the product development process, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint review sessions
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and customer success teams to develop go-to-market strategies, product messaging, and sales enablement materials
  • Monitor product performance, metrics, and KPIs, and iterate on product features and enhancements based on user feedback and data insights
  • Evangelize the product internally and externally, including participation in industry events, webinars, and customer advisory boards
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in close and consolidation technology, contributing to the technical growth and advancement of the team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preference for experience having implemented enterprise software, ideally in Finance
  • CPA/CA or equivalent industry experience
  • Familiarity with data analytics, business intelligence tools, and other close consolidation software is a plus
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation, creativity, and solving customer problems
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions
  • Experience with cloud software delivery, and specifically the practice of Agile development methodologies
  • Experience interacting with North American and European based customers
