Senior Product Manager

Summary

Join Hudl's North American sports product group as a Senior Product Manager and lead the growth of their American football business. You will develop and execute product strategies, advocate for the product with stakeholders and customers, foster collaboration across teams, and build high-performing teams. This strategically important role requires significant experience in product management, strong communication and leadership skills, a deep understanding of American football, and a data-driven approach. Requirements

• Have more than three years of experience in product management and a track record of shipping valuable customer-facing software
• Be a comfortable presenter and effectively share your product roadmap with stakeholders. Get buy-in on your ideas and motivate others toward a common goal
• Be naturally curious; never stop learning—be eager for knowledge and new ideas because that improves the way you work. Love building prototypes, testing, learning and evolving
• Have a passion for using data and insights to drive high-quality decision-making, but also know when to take calculated leaps of faith
• Build high-performing teams to deliver against the roadmap. Care deeply about your team and want to help them be successful. Know how to get the job done and roll up your sleeves and get hands-on when necessary
• Deeply understand the sport of American football and be passionate about working with teams to build great products
• Seek to understand the strengths of those around you and have made each team you’ve worked on better. Relish tackling hard problems alongside your squad and building great relationships with teams

Responsibilities

• Grow our American football business. Work with a cross-functional team to create a coherent product strategy and vision, connecting it to the wider company strategy and effectively delivering against it. “Quarterback” a key investment, with the goal of building products that customers love and use daily
• Advocate for the product. Develop a deep understanding of our customers and our business needs, building trusting relationships with customers and senior internal stakeholders. Motivate your squad; determine what success looks like and work across multiple functions to turn your product vision to reality
• Foster transformation. Strive for better collaboration between teams, challenging the status quo when necessary. Lead a squad in making decisions that balance cost, timeline and customer benefit. Work with Marketing, Sales and Customer Support to develop go-to-market plans

Preferred Qualifications

• Have good business sense and know how to balance user needs with business goals
• Be able to communicate tradeoffs and generate buy-in on a solution that’s best for everyone
• Have either coached or participated in American football at the college level or above, and be able to bring a high level of industry context and connections
