Senior Product Manager

Summary

Join IOHK's Midnight Tribe as a Senior Product Manager, Identity/Compliance, and help shape the future of Midnight's blockchain platform. You will be responsible for creating feature requirements, grooming the backlog, and defining acceptance criteria. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Design, Marketing, and Engineering, to translate features into requirements. Balance business needs with technical requirements and identify user needs. Work in an Agile environment, continuously reviewing business needs and refining priorities. Partner with operations to define the user experience and contribute to the go-to-market plan. Develop and maintain product performance tracking and reporting.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Have 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager or similar role in product management in blockchain, web3, or SaaS companies
• Possess functional experience on identity management and regulatory compliance
• Have a technical background with knowledge of software development, cryptography, distributed systems
• Possess domain expertise with agile, JIRA and Github
• Be proficient in Agile methodologies and leading technical, design, and business teams
• Have hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle, from ideation to rollout
• Possess effective stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
• Have team spirit and good communication abilities
• Have good organizational skills
• Have project management experience in the context of product development
• Have a track record of implementing metrics and measuring product success
• Demonstrate strong collaboration with software development and marketing teams
• Demonstrate competency with requirements elicitation, analysis, specification, verification, and management practices and the ability to apply them in practice
• Leverage strong interpersonal skills to drive innovation in product development with a team of world-class engineers and Scientists
• Possess excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment across levels and roles

Responsibilities

• Create feature requirements to evolve the product roadmap
• Groom and prioritize the backlog
• Develop epics and user stories
• Define acceptance criteria for each feature
• Work closely with Product Design, Marketing, Developer Relations, to identify and translate features into requirements for Engineering and Cryptography Squads
• Balance business needs with technical requirements, and recommend alternative technical approaches to meet product requirements when needed
• Identify user needs and work with cross-functional teams to deliver product releases
• Collaborate with the Product Designers and customers to provide input into the product roadmap and drive the execution of products and features from concept to launch in a fast-paced environment
• Translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Lead the product functional design process based on an intimate knowledge of the users and technology
• Prioritize and maintain the sprint backlog for assigned product features, balancing the requirements of stakeholders
• Work with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders, including analytics, design/user experience, engineering, testing, and developer relations
• Turn data insights into products with actionable outcomes for target personas
• Work in an Agile environment and continuously review the business needs, refine priorities, outline milestones and deliverables, and identify opportunities and risks
• Partner with operations departments to define the user experience for internal users, including production support and monitoring
• Work with product design, developer relations and product marketing to provide input into the go-to-market plan, and collaborate with the commercial team to ensure they have what they need to be successful
• Develop and maintain appropriate tracking and reporting of product performance post-launch to evaluate future investment

Preferred Qualifications

• Have a Product Management certification (CPM, AIPMM)
• Have a background in distributed computing and varied blockchain architectures
• Possess a balance of technical knowledge and business acumen
• Have strong leadership skills, be resourceful and use initiative while exercising personal accountability for your product
• Have a strong background in Blockchain and Cryptocurrency technology developments and trends in the product landscape
• Keep up to date with the status of competitors from a technical and business perspective
