Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required
- Minimum of 7 years in a Product Management or Product Owner role
- Demonstrated expertise in requirements management, product ideation, and PRD creation
- Deep understanding of API technologies and SaaS frameworks
- Hands-on experience in designing, launching, and iterating on developer portals and API products
- Proficiency with technologies such as REST, GraphQL, JSON, and SOAP
- Strong ability to collaborate with engineering teams on technical solutions
- Experience in system architecture and evaluating technical trade-offs
- Adept at articulating the value and benefits of technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Proficiency in creating PRDs and writing outcome-driven user stories
- Experience facilitating backlog refinement and maintaining a well-prioritized product backlog
- Ability to serve as the voice of the customer/merchant within a product development scrum team
- Strong track record of creating and improving workflows, sprint rituals, and team communication to enhance productivity
Responsibilities
- Manage Product Lifecycle: Oversee the complete lifecycle of products, including the introduction of new features and the phasing out of outdated ones, ensuring continuous alignment with organizational goals
- Develop and Maintain Product Roadmap: Publish and manage a detailed product roadmap in a centralized location, ensuring it is signed off by all stakeholders and updated regularly to reflect strategic priorities
- Backlog Prioritization: Maintain a clear, prioritized backlog with actionable user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring alignment with sprint objectives and organizational OKRs
- Create Detailed PRDs: Develop comprehensive Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) that enable engineering and design teams to execute projects effectively and without ambiguity
- Track and Report Product Performance: Measure the success of product initiatives using defined success metrics and provide regular performance reports to leadership and teams
- Collaborate on API Design: Partner with engineering teams to design and document APIs that are scalable, consistent, and aligned with product goals
- Support Marketing Efforts: Work with the marketing team to develop product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies that drive adoption and revenue growth
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure all products meet necessary regulatory and compliance standards, such as PCI, CCPA, and HIPAA, to maintain industry standards
- Stay Ahead of Industry Trends: Monitor emerging technologies, competitor products, and industry trends to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation
- Drive Product Innovation: Regularly publish and maintain competitive analysis reports to inform strategic decision-making and foster product innovation
- Translate product requirements into actionable user stories and technical specifications
- Partner with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration is strongly preferred
- Experience working in compliant environments is a plus
- Familiarity with standards such as PCI or CCPA is beneficial but not required
- Background in the payments industry is advantageous but not mandatory
