Requirements

  • Ability to establish strategic collaboration with internal and external stakeholders on all organizational levels
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (English)
  • Deep knowledge of how stores in NA operate
  • Experience owning a product or roadmap within technology context – understanding of basics of Product Management (ideally)
  • Desire to spend time in our customers’ stores and on the road with end users, store managers, and field managers to get deep insight into *day in the life*, challenges, tools used, and how RELEX could support them be successful in their roles
  • Ability to work closely at different levels of Retail Store Operations to understand current working practice and future strategy
  • Understanding of Change Management challenges and how technology can support
  • Collaborative attitude and approach to work cohesively and effectively across functions, particularly Sales
  • Self-Motivation – self-starter and can work independently
  • Success at building relationships – can get into stores, work closely with customers
  • Willingness to travel and spend time in the field and away from home
  • Passion for technology and how it can help and improve the day-to-day operations of grocers

Responsibilities

  • Represent product with our Retail customers in NA implementing or looking to implement in stores to understand their current and/or intended usage of our solution in stores and guide them on best practices
  • Be the Retail NA Store Operations subject matter expert within RELEX
  • Support NA Sales as the Store Operations Expert for NA
  • Spend time in stores to ensure RELEX has the latest view of store operating practices in North America
  • Spend time on the road with Regional and Field managers to ensure RELEX has a clear view of regional manager needs and how our technology can help them now and, in the future
  • Collaborate cross-functionally within RELEX, sharing your knowledge and learnings to ensure as an organization we succeed in NA Retail Store Ops
  • Clearly outline learnings, working practices, processes of our customers, and the general market to central teams in writing and presentations
  • Understand in-store inventory and order technology landscape and ensure this is shared and articulated effectively
  • Influence store ops product roadmaps and work closely with relevant other Product Managers
  • Educate customer leadership to understand RELEX vision of automation journey and guided experience
  • Articulate RELEX vision and value proposition; what differentiates us from competitors

Preferred Qualifications

  • Worked within NA grocery (preferred) or other retail store
  • Worked as store manager in a NA grocer (preferred) or other retail store and
  • Field/regional manager in NA grocery (preferred) or other retail store and/or
  • Worked in central team focused on store operating model and continuous improvement / fit of for the future focused role and/or
  • Ideally not for only one grocer / retail store (i.e. all roles experienced in the same company)
  • Been working for a technology solution provider focused on in store operations working – like inventory management (ideally fresh). This could be in a role of business consultant / implementation specialist, presales, or product owner and/or
  • Been working within a consultancy firm that is specifically focused on supporting NA grocers (preferred) or other retail segment to improve their in-store operation. The role would need to be hands-on and been working with the store operations side of the business
