Summary

Join Step, a fast-growing fintech company revolutionizing banking for Gen Z, as a Senior Product Manager, Credit. You will own the development of our lending products, shaping the roadmap and aligning it with Step’s business goals. You’ll leverage data-driven insights, collaborate cross-functionally, and eventually lead a team of product managers. This role requires extensive experience in consumer fintech or credit products, strong analytical skills, and exceptional communication abilities. Requirements

  • 8+ years of product management experience, preferably in consumer fintech or credit products
  • A track record of scaling consumer credit products, from ideation to launch and growth
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using BigQuery, Looker, Segment, Mixpanel, or similar analytics tools
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders
  • Deep customer empathy and a passion for building products that deliver real value
  • A proactive, outcome-oriented mindset with a bias for action

Responsibilities

  • Define & Drive Strategy – Partner with leadership to refine Step’s credit product vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business objectives
  • Prioritize with Data – Leverage analytics, user insights, and industry trends to identify high-impact features, optimizations, and experiments
  • Execute with Excellence – Work cross-functionally with design, engineering, data science, legal, compliance, and external lending partners to build, launch, and scale products
  • Optimize & Iterate – Monitor key product metrics, measure impact, and iterate based on learnings to continuously enhance the customer experience
  • Lead & Grow a Team – Recruit, mentor, and develop a team of product managers as our credit product suite expands

Preferred Qualifications

Background in software engineering or technical product management
