Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a writer in a B2B SaaS environment
- Native-level reading, writing, and speaking English is a must
- Demonstrated experience in writing high-quality product documentation, including the ability to translate complex concepts into clear and simple content for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to effectively balance different priorities and actively collaborate with the R&D team to launch excellent products under tight deadlines
- Comfortable working through ambiguity, taking ownership of identifying problems, and creating solutions
- High level of attention to detail and precision
- Proactive in collaborating and effectively communicating with team members across the company
- Self-starter with an enthusiasm for diving deep into new technologies and continuously learning
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, structure, and craft clear and concise product documentation
- Develop the product content strategy and associated writing style guidelines in partnership with the Product Design and Marketing teams
- Empower R&D team members to write clear and creative in-product content aligned with the SmartRecruiters voice and tone
- Collaborate with other teams and departments across the organization to craft new and improved content driven by user needs and real-world use cases
- Enable and encourage product managers, engineers, and designers to contribute to all aspects of our documentation and help them create content that ensures customers understand the value of our product
- Collaborate with a wide variety of roles (e.g. R&D, Support, Customer Success, Product Marketing, GTM) to review and refine content, enhance product documentation workflows, and maintain the high quality of our documentation
- Adapt content for different audiences and mediums (help centre, presentations, release notes, product guides, etc.)
- Coordinate with product and enablement functions to ensure the timely delivery of release notes, updates, and other product-related technical information
- Own the customer-facing Help Centre and the associated relationship with the third-party vendor
- Maintain an organized repository of all documentation, ensuring it is up-to-date and easily accessible
- Develop and execute against both short and long-term roadmaps
