Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or related field)
  • 6-8 years of experience in project management within the Oil & Gas industry, with a focus on subsurface processing, emissions management, and technology integration
  • Strong track record of leading technology-driven projects, particularly in the areas of subsurface processing and post-combustion capture
  • Experience piloting new technologies from concept to execution and understanding their integration into operational workflows
  • Strong expertise in subsurface processing technologies and post-combustion capture systems
  • In-depth knowledge of carbon capture, CO2 sequestration, and emissions management technologies
  • Familiarity with industry-leading design tools and simulation software used in subsurface and environmental applications
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6, etc.) and basic knowledge of engineering design and tools
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams, with a focus on driving technological innovation and adoption
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to tackle complex technical challenges and integrate new technologies into existing systems
  • Prior experience in driving technology change in subsurface processing, carbon capture, or related emissions technologies
  • Familiarity with sustainable practices and technologies related to reducing environmental impact and carbon footprints
  • Reside in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Manage the implementation and piloting of new technologies related to subsurface processing and post-combustion capture, ensuring these innovations are integrated into project workflows and meet performance expectations
  • Oversee and drive large-scale projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they meet technical, financial, and schedule objectives. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that new technologies are effectively adopted and executed
  • Conduct project appraisals with a strong focus on emerging technologies in subsurface processing, evaluating the technical feasibility, economic viability, and risk associated with the introduction of new solutions
  • Work closely with research and development teams to evaluate and assess new subsurface processing technologies and post-combustion capture solutions. Be an advocate for technology adoption, helping to bridge the gap between R&D and operational teams
  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including technology vendors, contractors, regulatory bodies, and clients. Effectively communicate the value proposition of new technologies and ensure alignment with project objectives
  • Implement risk management strategies that take into account the potential challenges associated with new technology deployment, addressing technical, operational, and financial risks
  • Ensure that the latest technology solutions are seamlessly integrated into the existing infrastructure, promoting operational efficiency and cost savings
  • Ensure all projects are executed with an emphasis on safety, quality, and environmental performance, adhering to the highest industry standards
  • Monitor and control project budgets and schedules, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget, particularly when implementing new technology solutions
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project engineers and technical specialists, particularly in areas involving subsurface processing and technology integration
  • Ensure that projects comply with relevant local, regional, and international regulations, especially those pertaining to environmental impact, subsurface operations, and new technology implementation
  • Provide regular updates to senior management and key stakeholders, reporting on progress, risks, and technology performance

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree or MBA
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification
