Summary
Join our team as a Senior Project Manager and lead the planning and execution of complex technical projects. You will oversee technical releases, software upgrades, and migrations, collaborating with various stakeholders. This remote position in Washington, DC, requires strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. You will ensure project governance and compliance while acting as an escalation point for issues. The role demands extensive experience in project management methodologies, vendor management, and healthcare-related projects. This is a 12+ month contract position.
Requirements
- Proven track record of successful SDLC completion
- Excellent understanding and ability to implement project management methodologies
- Proven experience with vendor management
- Well-versed in district policies and procedures
- Deep technical expertise in project planning and execution of technical projects
- 16+ years requirements gathering and documentation
- Bachelorβs degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience
- Progressive experience in project and program management
- 15 Years Experience managing people, performance, developing processes and change management practices for medium to large teams
- Strong experience and verifiable success in delivering high-value client-facing software projects that span multiple teams and customers
- 10 Years Track record of developing and improving consistent and repeatable outcomes across a Project Management Office
- Create/Edit procedures to solve complex problems considering compt equipment capacity& limitations, operation time, and form of desired result
- Progressive Operational Leadership or Consultative experience in either a hospital or Health System setting
- Exp with program dev that relies on thorough synthesis &understanding of clinical evidence/outcomes, process flow analysis, end-user realtions etc
- Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving experience
- Thorough understanding of core business processes within healthcare organizations
Responsibilities
- Create detailed project plans, define tasks, milestones, and timelines, and allocate resources effectively
- Oversee the planning and execution of technical projects, including technical releases, software upgrades, security compliance, and migration projects (e.g., batch runs)
- Lead the management, implementation, and reporting of large and complex initiatives
- Develop roadmaps, plans, and timelines, and assist in staffing decisions to align with current and future organizational needs
- Collaborate with department managers and directors to prioritize work, set deadlines, and allocate resources
- Serve as a liaison between technical teams, business stakeholders, clients, and other relevant parties
- Drive consistent communication and project tracking for stakeholder visibility and internal awareness
- Work directly with vendors and stakeholders to manage expectations and reduce confusion
- Ensure project governance, roles, responsibilities, and outcomes are maintained and improved
- Monitor compliance with project management standards, policies, procedures, and templates
- Lead project management transformation and change management initiatives
- Act as an escalation point for direct reports, senior management, and directors
- Ensure a consistent reporting and daily management cadence, as well as accountability from key stakeholders
