Senior Project Manager

Summary

Join Thoughtworks as a Project Manager and lead project workstreams, fostering collaboration and trust within autonomous teams. You will create and maintain release plans, manage project financials, and deliver exceptional business value. This role requires experience in managing projects with end-to-end responsibility, release planning, and various software development approaches. You will navigate organizational structures, manage risks, and build strong client relationships. German proficiency (business level) and experience with fixed-price bids are mandatory. Requirements

• Have experience managing projects with end-to-end responsibility of project delivery
• Be comfortable with release planning, estimation, capacity planning, proposal building and managing project financials
• Have an understanding of various software development approaches (traditional, agile, etc.) and have the ability to consult clients on the best approaches applicable to their scenarios
• Believe in the power of a flat hierarchy and enjoy facilitating and organizing sessions to promote collaboration
• Be resilient in ambiguous situations and can adapt your role to approach challenges from multiple perspectives; Don’t shy away from risks, instead you take them on and skillfully manage them
• Be eager to coach, mentor and motivate others and you aspire to influence teammates to take positive action and accountability for their work
• German is mandatory (business-level proficiency, not necessarily native)
• Must have experience in dealing with fixed-price bids

Responsibilities

• Lead one project workstreams and create an environment of trust that enables autonomous teams to work effectively and collaboratively within their team and with others
• Create and maintain release plans for iterative and incremental delivery of value and be accountable for iteration planning, tracking, reporting, delivery scope, prioritization, estimates, risks and financials for the client engagement
• Bring innovative and fresh ideas to project management, pushing the boundaries of how project managers can deliver exceptional business value
• Propose and deliver a delivery roadmap and plan that support the client's business strategies and objectives; Proactively manage risk and openly communicate with the client with integrity
• Ensure that the delivered value is explicit and well understood by the client and the Thoughtworks teams
• Navigate organizational structures and politics effectively to drive expected outcomes and develop/foster authentic client relationships
